About Me
(The Official and Not-so-Official)
The Not-so-Official Introduction
I’m a vegemite-loving Aussie who fell in love with an American and now lives in the US. We have two kids and can’t tell if we’re really lucky or just biased because we’re pretty sure they’re the best people on the planet.
I love all music and theme my playlists based on mood. Some faves include: ‘walking on sunshine’ for those bright, happy days; ‘staring out the window’ for when I’m feeling pensive; ‘sweeping fringe, black nails’ for my inner emo teen; ‘the angry 90s girl in all of us’ when I want to belt out some Alannis in the car.
When Harry Met Sally is my favourite movie. We watch it every year alongside Casablanca, which runs a close second. I'm not great with scary things and my limit for edge-of-your-seat stuff halts at Mission Impossible.
I love science documentaries and crime novels. I prefer red wine over white, and dark chocolate over... most things.
I love listening to people talk about their passion and finding ways to support what they’re up to. I come from a big Italian family. We’re also Jewish. Needless to say our lives mostly revolve around what meal we’re going to enjoy next.
I am hopeful; I don’t simply believe things will be ok, I believe in my ability to make things ok. Ultimately, I just want to leave some part of the world better than I found it, hug my kids tightly, and laugh as often as possible.
